Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee

On March 20, 2012, the Butte-Glenn Community College District Board of Trustees passed and adopted Resolution No. 684 disbanding the Measure A Citizens' Oversight Committee, with thanks to all the community members who served on the Committee

In compliance with Proposition 39, Butte-Glenn Community College District convened a Citizens' Oversight Committee to keep the public informed of the progress of the Measure A Bond expenditures. Proposition 39 specifies the role, activities, and composition of the Citizens' Oversight Committee.

As provided in Education Code §15278, the purpose of the Citizens' Oversight Committee is to inform the public concerning the district's expenditure of revenues received from the sale of bonds authorized by the voters in the March 2002 general election.

The Committee members shall be appointed by the Board of Trustees. It shall consist of at least seven members to serve for a term of two years without compensation and for no more than two consecutive terms. The Committee may not include any employee or official of the College or any vendor, contractor, or consultant of the College.
