Roadrunner Cares

Roadrunner Cares is a referral process to help a student in crisis to receive priority student services with the goal of facilitating success at Butte College.

Staff, Faculty, and Students can use the Roadrunner Cares referral process when a student has acute, urgent, personal concerns that are out of the ordinary and might prevent the student from being successful at Butte College.

The Roadrunner Cares process is initiated when the referral form is completed, the student is directly referred from Roadrunner Cares to the appropriate student services with a Priority Pass email to the appropriate student services department.

Steps to refer a student:

  • Step I. Create a referral using the Report It .
  • Step II. Advise the student that they will receive a follow up email and/or phone call from Roadrunner Cares with a Priority Pass for Student Support Services.
  • Step III. The Roadrunner Cares team will make all attempts to initiate contact with the student and arrange a referral to the appropriate student services or community resource.

Roadrunner Cares team will take the following action:

  • Send an email and/or phone call to the student advising that a priority pass has been issued for a student service.
  • Send an email and/or phone call to the service provider advising them of the issued priority pass.
  • Ensure Roadrunner Cares Priority Pass is received by both parties.
